This system typically utilizes high-resolution, multi-axis cameras strategically positioned to capture the entire contour and surface of the glass. Advanced software algorithms then compare the captured image against a digital CAD blueprint of the perfect part. It performs a multitude of checks with pixel-level accuracy, including: Dimensional & Geometric Verification: Measuring the overall shape, hole positions and diameters, and edge-to-edge dimensions to ensure it matches the design perfectly. Edge Quality Inspection: Detecting chips, cracks, and grinding defects along the entire perimeter, even on tight curves. Surface Defect Detection: Identifying scratches, inclusions, or stains on the glass surface. The system is capable of handling a vast range of shapes—from simple circles and trapezoids to complex automotive windshields. Upon detecting a defect, it can automatically signal a reject mechanism or mark the faulty piece.
